As foremost bank in Nigeria,the service is available 24 hours—that means account holders can perform their transaction on the go even in their offices or home without visiting the banking hall.

However, the service is available to all individual account holders (sole signatory) whose phone numbers are registered with any of the mobile network operators (MTN, GLO, Airtel and 9Mobile) and correctly maintained with the Bank. But Joint, corporate, and multiple signatory accounts are not eligible for this service.

Please note that Access bank ussd code *901# can only be accessed via your phone number maintained with the bank.The service can be use in oversea provided you have an active roaming service.

 

How to Register for Acess Bank *901# ussd code service

To enroll on Access bank ussd code *901# service, customers should simply follow the steps below:

1. Dial *901# with your registered phone number
2. Click on ‘Transfer’
3. Enter the last 6 digits of your Debit Card number (You will be prompted to input your 4. Date of Birth if you do not have an active debit card).
5. Enter your account number
6. Create a 4-digit PIN to enable authorize the transaction.

Also customers with HIDA (High Interest Deposit Account) and cardless accounts can enroll with their registered Date of Birth. This service can be use for more that one account as long as the phone number is maintained with the Bank.

How to transfer money from Access bank

To transfer money from your Access Bank account, you have several options:

Using the USSD Code:

  1.  From your registered phone number, dial *901#.
  2. Choose the “Transfer” option from the menu.
  3. Select “Intra-bank Transfer” for transfers within Access Bank or “Inter-bank Transfer” for transfers to other banks.
  4. Input the amount you want to transfer.
  5. Provide the recipient’s account number.
  6. Authenticate the transaction by entering your 4-digit USSD PIN.

Using the Access Bank Mobile App:

  1. Visit the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS) and download the “Access More” app.
  2. Open the app and log in with your credentials.
  3. Go to the “Transfer” section.
  4. Choose “Intra-bank Transfer” or “Inter-bank Transfer.”
  5. Input the recipient’s account number and the amount to transfer.
  6. Review the transaction details and confirm the transfer.
  7.  Use your 4-digit PIN or OTP (One-Time Password) to authenticate the transaction.

Using Internet Banking:

  1. Log in to your Access Bank internet banking account.
  2. Click on the “Transfer Funds” menu.
  3. Select “Access Bank” for intra-bank transfers or the recipient’s bank for inter-bank transfers.
  4.  Provide the recipient’s account number and the amount to transfer.
  5.  Review the transaction details and confirm the transfer.

What is transaction limit on access bank ussd service

The maximum daily transfer limit is N100,000 (N20,000 per transaction)
Daily maximum limit on Airtime top-up is N20,000

But if you want to increase the limit, visit any access bank branch for a hardware token or the last six digits of your debit card is required. You can request a token.

 

How to block Access Bank  Account 

To block your Access Bank account using the USSD code, follow these steps:

  1.  From your registered phone number, dial *901*911#.
  2. Choose the “Self” option from the menu.
  3.  Input the phone number linked to your Access Bank account.
  4. Choose the Access Bank account you want to block.
  5. Authenticate the transaction by entering your 4-digit USSD PIN.

Once you complete these steps, your Access Bank account will be blocked, and you’ll receive a confirmation message.

 

What if I forget my Access bank PIN?

No worries if you forget your PIN; it happens! To reset your Access Bank USSD or Mobile App PIN, follow these steps:

Using USSD:

  1. From your registered phone number, dial *901*0#.
  2. Choose the option for resetting your PIN.
  3. Input the last 6 digits of your Access Bank debit card.
  4. Create a new 4-digit PIN.
  5. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm.

Using Mobile App:

  1. Launch the Access More app on your phone.
  2. Navigate to the settings menu.
  3. Choose the option to reset your PIN.
  4. Follow the prompts to provide the necessary details, such as your account number and OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number.
