How to retrieve NIN
here are several ways to retrieve your National Identification Number (NIN) in Nigeria:

Check Your NIN Slip: If you’ve already enrolled for your NIN, check your NIN slip or enrollment acknowledgment slip. Your NIN should be printed on it.

Dial the USSD Code: Dial *346# from the phone number you used during enrollment. This is a general code across all mobile networks in Nigeria. Your NIN should be displayed on the screen. Please note that there may be a small charge for this service.

Visit a NIMC Enrollment Center: If you’re unable to retrieve your NIN using the methods above, visit the nearest National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) enrollment center. They can help you retrieve your NIN or provide guidance.

Then follow the options displayed,
Select “NIN Retrieval”,
Then enter ‘1’, if you are using the same phone number you enrolled with for your NIN
Then follow the steps displayed on your screen and provide the required inputs
Please note that using this service attracts a N20 (twenty naira) fee only (deducted from your phone credit balance).this can be done from MTN, GLO, Airtel and 9mobile.
How do you know if your permanent National Identity Card is ready?
There are a few ways to check if your permanent National Identity Card is ready in Nigeria:

- Visit the National e-ID Card Issuance portal on the NIMC website.
- Scroll down and find the link to check the status of your card.
- Enter your NIN and other required details.
- Click on the “Check Now” icon.

How to link NIN To Glo
There are several methods to link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your Glo line:

- Send an SMS with the following format: “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName LastName” to 109.
- For example, send “UPDATENIN 12345678903 John Doe” to 109.

Glo NIN Portal:
- Visit the Glo NIN portal
- Follow the instructions to link your NIN.

- Download the NIMC Mobile App.

There are several ways to link your NIN to your 9mobile line:

- Follow the prompts to either verify your linked NIN or enter your 11-digit NIN to link it.
- Note that it costs N20 to generate a Virtual NIN (vNIN) if you need one for the linking process.

- An OTP will be sent to your line. Enter the OTP to validate.
