MTN have unveiled their awesome service that allows subscribers transfer airtime(credit) from Subscribers account to other customers’ accounts which is known as MTN Share. This service can be used by all new and existing prepaid and postpaid customers on the MTN network.

There must be sufficient airtime on your account before you can successfully share airtime. Postpaid customers can only transfer airtime when their account is positive, not negative. For instance, you would not be able to transfer credit when you have N-500.00.

Important Points to Note
1. Airtime transfers can only be done in Naira amounts and not in Kobo
2. You can transfer from as low as N50 and a maximum of N100000 in a day. However, the maximum amount per transaction is N5000.
3. BetaTalk and Yanfun Yafun users are not eligible to share airtime. Bonus airtime cannot be transferred.

To Change your MTN Share PIN:
To prevent unauthorized use of MTN Share on subscriber accounts, The telecom giant has enabled a secure PIN before initiating a share, users will have to change the default PIN to their unique four-digit, so try and create your four digit PIN you can easily remember .
To Change your MTN Share PIN:
- Send an SMS with your Default PIN New PIN New PIN to 321. For example, send an SMS with ‘0000 1234 1234’ to 321.
- You can also change your PIN by dialing *321*Default PIN*New PIN* New PIN# on your phone and then click on send/press ok. For example, dial *321*0000*1234*1234# and then send/OK.
Immediately you change your PIN using any of the options above, you will receive an SMS informing you that your PIN was changed successfully.

- To transfer or share MTN Airtime using sms Send an SMS with Transfer, Recipient’s Number, Amount and PIN to 321. For example, you can send an SMS with ‘Transfer 08031234567 1500 1234’ to 321.
- Upon sending this message, you will receive an SMS asking you to confirm that you want to make the transfer by sending an SMS with ‘YES’ to 321.
How to transfer airtime using USSD
- To transfer or share MTN Airtime using ussd kindly Dial *321*Recipient’s Number*Amount*PIN# on your phone and then click on send/press OK. For example, dial*321*08031234567*1500*1234# and then send/OK. When the transfer has been completed, you will receive a message informing you that the transfer was successful.

subscribers can access the service know as Data Gifting by dialing *312*7# on their phone or visiting myMTN App, sending SMS keyword, or dialing direct shortcodes for the respective options:
