To Change your MTN Share PIN:
To prevent unauthorized use of MTN Share on subscriber accounts, The telecom giant has enabled a secure PIN before initiating a share, users will have to change the default PIN to their unique four-digit, so try and create your four digit PIN you can easily remember .
To Change your MTN Share PIN:
- Send an SMS with your Default PIN New PIN New PIN to 321. For example, send an SMS with ‘0000 1234 1234’ to 321.
- You can also change your PIN by dialing *321*Default PIN*New PIN* New PIN# on your phone and then click on send/press ok. For example, dial *321*0000*1234*1234# and then send/OK.
Immediately you change your PIN using any of the options above, you will receive an SMS informing you that your PIN was changed successfully.

How to share or transfer MTN airtime
To share or transfer airtime on MTN using MTN Share (Share ‘N’ Sell), follow these steps:
- Set Up Your PIN:
- Dial *321# on your MTN line and select “Change PIN.”
- Enter the default PIN (usually “0000”) and set a new 4-digit PIN.
- Example: Dial 321*0000*new PIN*new PIN# to change your PIN.
- Transfer Airtime via USSD:
To transfer or share MTN Airtime using ussd kindly Dial *321*Recipient’s Number*Amount*PIN# on your phone and then click on send/press OK.
- Example: To transfer ₦500 to 08012345678, dial 321*08012345678*500*1234#.
- Transfer Airtime via SMS:
- Send an SMS in this format:

How to share MTN Data with family and friends
You can now transfer data from your existing data balance to your family & friends. Simply dial *312*Phone number*Data amount# or, text Transfer<space>Phone number<space>Data amount and to 312. The maximum amount you can transfer in a day is 5GB.
Buy Data for a Friend:
To buy data for a friend on MTN, you can use the MTN Data Gifting service. Here’s how:
- Dial *321# on your MTN line.
- From the menu, choose the option to gift data.
- Provide the MTN number of the person you want to buy data for.
- Select the data bundle you wish to purchase for your friend.
- Follow the prompts to complete the process. The cost will be deducted from your airtime balance, and the data will be credited to your friend’s account.
