VoguePay  Announced  As The Winner Of The Best Fintech Startup



One of top Nigeria’s  FinTech  firm, VoguePay,  won the Best FinTech startup competition  in the recently concluded Cashless Expo.  In an event well attended by stakeholders in the financial, Public, ICT and other sectors of the economy.  In his opening remark, The principal associate of Mobile Money Africa, organisers of the awards, Mr. Emmanuel Okoegwale, said that “the awards honour organizations that have made significant contributions to the digital financial services sector and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future. The Awards are dedicated to acknowledging creativity, commitment and excellence in the digital financial services across Africa”, he concluded.

VoguePay,  a firm launched in launched in 2012  won the  Best Fintech Startup as a result of contribution to online payment in Nigeria and Africa in general. With offices in Lagos and United Kingdom. The firm has embarked on a  rigorous expansion project that will make VoguePay to have physical presences in most African countries.

While acknowledging the award, VoguePay representative, Geoffrey Weli Wosu, the co-founder of VoguePay and Director of Marketing, legal & compliance  remarked that “VoguePay’s commitment to excellence as the award came as a result  of several industry recognitions to VoguePay in 2016 “. He also added that  VoguePay was rated as one of  “best online payment in Africa” at African Achievers Awards by Forbes Magazine.


In his acceptance speech, one of the staff of VoguePay, Wole Ogunlade, head, digital media and strategy ” that the award is well deserved given VoguePay’s innovative solutions as a payment bridge that connects Africa with the rest of the world”.

It has offices in Lagos, Nigeria and UK with expansion plans to other African countries.Presently, VoguePay is the biggest payment gateway by merchant size in Nigeria and also serves customers in 4 continents including North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
