In the southern Nigeria , Christianity is the most populous religion and Delta State isn’t an exception. To the surprise of the Christian communities in the state ,a popular Delta state based native doctor “Chi Marine Temple” visited an orphanage home owned by the Anglican Church and donated gift items.
His donation has sparked controversies, some Christians suspect that he may destroy the destiny of the kids and hence the church owned orphanage home shouldn’t collect the gift items.
Meanwhile other Christians have blamed some pastors and church leaders of not living up to their responsibilities and urged them to emulate the herbalist.
“You should also asked your pastor should a church reject tithes from corrupt politicians or occultist members”, somebody asked.
The need to do good and demonstrate kindness and love irrespective of the religion is what Christ has encouraged and humanity wants. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, anything culture has been seen as evil and fetish, a carryover of colonial mentality . For me do good! We are humans first before religion came to turn us to beasts of burden. Show love!!!!
