In today’s  fast paced world , alot of expectations are heaped upon people.  Most folks seems to be under one kind of  pressure or other to be seen by  folks  as “successful”.  Christians today aren’t left out of this high expectations, but the Bible has made us to understand that with God all things are possible.

The story of blind  Bartimaeus in the Bible is one story that demonstrates faith and resilient. The blind man was cured by Jesus Christ when he said ” Jesus of David have mercy on me ”  Mark 10:46-52. This story of a cured blind man should be reference point  on how Christians should always key into faith and trust in God and themselves.

Blind Bartimaeus called upon Jesus , though the multitude that were following Jesus was trying to shout him down, remember that the man , Bartimaeus was a beggar and it is expected of him to seek for alms and beg. That was the needful that was expected of him everyday, but on that day that Bartimaeus knew that Jesus was coming, he cashed into that and called upon Jesus Son of David to assist him. This demonstrates faith, trust and ability to chart a path in an individual’s life.

In life, every Christian should have the capacity to chart his/her  own course in life irrespective of what people would say. They might tell you that you can’t do it , but remember that with God , nothing is impossible and one with God is majority. The blind Bartimaeus was told to shut up and continue begging, he chose otherwise and was clear on what he wanted when Jesus asked him ” what can I do for you ” his response was clear, Lord make me see ! As a Christian , you must always be clear on what you want in life, because it is said that  our God gives us according to our desires.

God is always a merciful being and He has always shown up in  various cases . God has always provided an avenue to demonstrate that he is God.  It is always advisable that Christians should have their eyes fixed on progress and God rather than the problem.  Whatever happens in any child of God life shouldn’t  make him, her or  anyone a nonentity, it strengthens the individual. Anything that doesn’t kill you makes one stronger.

Trusting in God is very imperative and shouldn’t be underestimated and so is the believe in oneself. He said cast your burden upon me , people must learn to totally surrender everything to God and believing in His capacity to handle the situation. Bartimaeus trusted in Jesus Christ to deliver him. It was his believe and non giving up that made Bartimaeus see. You as a Christian can key into these well known principles of life .

“Remember who you are. Don’t compromise for anyone, for any reason. You are a child of the Almighty God. Live that truth.” –Lysa Terkeurst
