Slavery and colonialism is one sour and sore point in Africa especially the sub Saharan Africa. With a history of trade in human for cheap labour in the new world. Africans were shipped in their millions to Americas and Caribbeans to work as slaves in plantations. This has been a sour point in Africa.
An overwhelming majority of the African Americans are products of these slaves with their Caribbean counterparts. Many of these descendants of the slaves once in a life time take a soul searching and discovery trip to Africa to know where their ancestors emanated and originated from and Steve Harvey has taken his family to Ghana for this soul discovery trip
Steve Harvey and his family at the Cape Coast Castle, Ghana where a lot of Ghanaians were kept and shipped to Europe and America as slaves. He looks super sad after seeing the huge chains with bloods and the door of no return which leads waiting slave ships.
As Africans demand repatriation and compensation for the loss of their able bodied hands that would have helped to lift the continent from poverty, it is believed that with the dearth of competent hands have been one of the challenges of lifting African from the clutches of poverty.
