As the world moves toward the fourth industrial revolution, the need to have government engage the private sector especially those in the information communication technology (ICT) has been reiterated over time. Failure to capture this set of people would position the country as a technology consumer not producer.

Having this in mind, the The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) engages the start-up ecosystem and the ICT stakeholders some days ago. Known as 2019 Developers Conference . This event brought the “who is who ” in the software development ecosystem.

Speaking on the event, David Inyangetoh, a developer from Starthub Innovation, an incubation facility bases in Uyo , Akwa Ibom said “It is interesting that some of the Government agencies are getting interested in collaborating with key players in the Tech Ecosystem to contribute in the dialogue of creating more opportunities for young Nigerians building tech enabled businesses to solve Africa’s problems.

He added that “We had interesting discussions at the 2019 Developers Conference organized by Nigerian Internet Registration Association (NiRA) in collaboration with Facebook’s NgHUB and our very own Hanson Johnson was one of the speakers sensitizing the audience on Building user-centric solutions”.

The 2019 Developers Conference is a one-day technology event aimed at bringing together Developers, Programmers, Software Engineers, Designers and Academics from the IT community in Nigeria to explore new ideas, discuss new technologies, code, share knowledge and discover best practices.
