I have always been an admirer and a huge fan of Morgan Freeman ,but my admiration has taken to a new dimension after seeing his new act “Going In Style” that was released this year. Caine was so on point and Alan Arkin took the movie to a new dimension.
The movie is about some handful of old pals ;Willie (Morgan Freeman), Joe (Michael Caine) and Albert (Alan Arkin), heartbroken by the announcement of the foundry they have worked almost a life time and with foreclosure of one of the dudes house and a sick pal, they decide to damn the retirement and step up the game with some kind of heist. This was when their pension funds become a corporate casualty.
Though, not the normal story line of the good surpassing the evil, they succeeded in robbing the bank with such a finesse that the detective were left gapping .
According to Wikipedia, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. developed a remake of 1979 heist comedy film Going in Style, with Theodore Melfi set to write the script.Donald De Line was on board to produce the film with Tony Bill, producer of the original film, as executive producer.
