The vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osibanjo has reiterated the position of the federal government of Nigeria to nip the security challenges the country is having lately. The Vice President took to the social media to notify Nigerians that the government has started a high powered stakeholders engagement especially with the traditional rulers.
In his word the Osibanjo noted that the President is doing everything to ensure that security challenges is reduced. He said “There are significant security concerns all over the country and on the instruction of President Muhammadu Buhari, we have begun consultations with traditional rulers who are eager to contribute to the improvement of the security architecture.”
On his consultation with the traditional rulers he said “The President and I believe that consultations with traditional rulers are important in beefing up security across Nigeria.”
” I met with the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi and the Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona. I was accompanied by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other Federal and State Government officials”, he said on his recent engagement with the traditional rulers.
“President Muhammadu Buhari is committed to improving security in Nigeria. Our nation will be peaceful and prosperous”, he concluded.
