NITDA, NAF Forge Partnership on Security Challenges In The Country

As part of effort to enhance National Security, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigerian Air Force have formed a joint committee with the aim of developing capacity of the military officers in the areas of Information Technology to combat current security challenges being faced by Nigeria.

This position was reached today when the military personnel, led by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal SB Abubakar paid a working visit to the Agency’s Corporate Head Office in Abuja.

The Air Force Boss stated that the main aim of the visit is to form a strategic partnership with NITDA with a view of enhancing the operational efficiency of the Airforce.

In his remarks, the Director General of NITDA, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS, FIIM commended the officers for their efforts and sacrifice in securing Nigeria, and in particular, the insurgency in the North East.

The DG also informed the gathering that ICT is critical and an enabler to the growth and success of all sectors in Nigeria, which has necessitated the Agency’s decision to come up with an interoperability framework which would allow all Systems and Computers in Nigeria to communicate with each other.
