NITDA, FAMAN to promote eAgriculture

The Farm Management Association of Nigeria (FAMAN), led by the Vice President, African Farm Management Association, Prof. Usman Haruna today paid a courtesy visit to the Agency’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja to solicit collaboration in leveraging on ICT to revamp Nigeria’s Agricultural sector.

Prof. Haruna also used the opportunity to woo the management of NITDA to actively participate in its upcoming biennial conference scheduled to hold this year, and also develop research papers on the use of ICT to promote Agriculture in the country.

In his remarks, the Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, FBCS urged the association to promote youth participation in Agriculture.

Pantami disclosed that the Agency is mandated by law to implore ICT to improve food production and security.
