Tell us more about your disaster recovery?

In every business there is  the need to have a backup, this is basically to mitigate issues.  We are in an era of data and a lot of data  are being used by organisations today in the country. There is a tendency to have these data and information compromised either by cyber attack , virus or compromise. When such a thing happens to any  company, there is a tendency for the firm to lose sensitive data. But with a robust backup in place, the data can be retrieved and any loss that might come as a result of security breach reduced. This is where we come into place with our  disaster recovery solution.Disaster recovery involves a set of policies, tools and procedures to enable the recovery or continuation of vital technology infrastructure and systems following a natural or human-induced disaster.  We at SandBox Technologies  company employs  the three disaster recovery procedures, Our  IT disaster recovery control measures cut across three categories; Preventive measures – Controls aimed at preventing an event from occurring.: Detective measures – Controls aimed at detecting or discovering unwanted events: Corrective measures – Controls aimed at correcting or restoring the system after a disaster or an event and we use the current software’s from the OEM for such disaster recovery for Client support technically.

Nigeria as a country is trying to diversify, ICT is one area the  government is looking at. Do you think that they are getting it right?

Firstly, let me appreciate your concern on this issue of the Nigerian Government on ICT Development, as a matter of Fact the Government need to focus on building home grow solutions in terms of IT infrastructures   rather than going abroad, when this is done, then Nigerian Government is getting it Right, for now we commend them but more need to be done in terms of funding of IT Entrepreneur in Nigeria. The government must understand that there is a need to build capacity in the ICT space and identify qualified practitioners and support them, be it in terms of finance, policy or any other way. Though, they are trying to up their game, a lot must be done.

As a business owner, what is your take on the issue of capacity building in Nigeria and that of skill set. Do you think that our youths are equipped for the new narrative in ICT?

Yes, Capacity building is the Key to creating a Global ICT  Market  in Nigeria, all over the World young people are exposed  to ICT ecosystems, the youth are equipped with the right tools but the majority of the youth are channelling their skills to non productive act.

You are into hosting and co-location services, can we know about this?

Thank you very much for this question, we offer range of hosting services for our Clients and other Stakeholders in the Public Domain, Hosting here comes in Web hosting, therefore A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server owned or leased for use by clients, as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for other servers located in their data center, called colocation, and   With colocation services/hosting, you can store your server at a facility that has been designed to provide the highest security. Larger enterprises, Government institutions, Banks and other Corporate Organizations use colocation hosting/services as an effective server storage solution. The main difference between managed hosting and colocation is the amount of (data)  control.
