ISACA, NILE UNIVERSITY VISIT NITDA, SEEK PARTNERSHIP

The Executive Members of Information System Audit and Control Association, (ISACA) today, paid a courtesy visit to the National Information Technology Development Agency(NITDA) Headquarter in Abuja to congratulate the Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE on his appointment and to seek for sponsorship and partnership for its forthcoming 11th Annual International Conference.

The leader of the team, Mrs Iyabo Adedeji said that the Association was excited over the appointment of Abdullahi as Director General of NITDA “because he is a member of the Association.”

While inviting the Director General to the Conference as Key note speaker, Mrs. Adedeji said that, NITDA occupies a very important position in the country’s IT sector, hence the need for the DG to set the tone for the Conference.

In his remark, the DG stated that NITDA will continue to partner ISACA in order to explore the proficiency of its Members to deliver on NITDA’s seven strategic pillars especially on Cyber Security and Government Digital Services.

“We look forward to partnering with you because we can not do it alone. Our partnership with you is helping us to deliver on our mandates. He added that the Agency is committed to building capacity of the youths in the country. “Our population is our greatest resource which could help us in moving to digital economy and the youths are resources that are easier to harness.”

He enjoined the Association to come up with ideas that can fit into the Agency’s seven key pillars, while using the opportunity to invite the Association to the forthcoming e-Nigeria 2019 Conference.

In the same vein, the Vice Chancellor, Nile University, Prof. Dr Osman Nuri Aras in the company of Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. Mousa Mahmat also paid courtesy call on the DG to congratulate him on his recent appointment as the DG of NITDA.

The Vice Chancellor said they were at the Agency to congratulate the new DG, strengthen the existing relationship and introduce new programmes of the University to the Agency.

The Director General commended them for the visit and assured them of the Agency’s determination to Research and Development in order to boost the growth of ICT ecosystem.

He also seized the opportunity to invite them to the e-Nigeria 2019 Conference, Award and Exhibition scheduled to hold from 12th -14th Novemeber, 2019.
