It was a worrying site to behold a number of those who made a mockery of the IGP and used abusive language on him for stuttering on the word “transmission”. This is wrong and not accepted . The ignorance on Nigerians, both old and young is something of great concern. The Inspector General of police might have Glossophobia and it’s shouldn’t be a thing that we would ridicule him .
It is possible; the majority are not aware that such medical condition does exist. No one would be happy to be mocked because of a medical condition.
Glossophobia is the medical term for fear of public speaking. For those affected, speaking in front of a group can trigger feelings of discomfort and anxiety. With this can come uncontrollable trembling, sweating, and a racing heartbeat causing stuttering and words repetition.
Glossophobia is a social phobia or social anxiety disorder in 4 out of every 10 Americans. Anxiety disorders go beyond occasional worrying or nervousness. They cause strong fears that are out of proportion to what you’re experiencing or thinking about.
It is a severe medical condition and should not be used as a political tool.
