The 21st century is an age that has seen more women tilt towards tech related innovations and entrepreneurial inclinations. It is indeed interesting and worthy of note that more women are starting to identify their niches and exploring the many opportunities that abound to them in tech and entrepreneurship. It is also indeed an age that has played witness to an intense support to the female community of entrepreneurs by their male counterpart.
Very recently, Mr Hanson Johnson, CEO Start Innovation Hub (a tech hub resident in Uyo), a global figure in the tech community and recognized for his significant work in building a tech savvy community of young persons on Wednesday the 6th of February, 2018 played host to Dr. Amina Sabo Magaji, National Coordinator Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship and her team. The visit was made in order to connect with stakeholders in lieu of StartupFriday, an event set to take place in Uyo, between March 9th, to March 10th, 2018.
Several social events targeted at creating an integrated and engaged community of women techies and entrepreneurs are happening nearly everywhere in the globe, almost simultaneously.
For one, the community of Global Startup Weekend Women Abia by Techstars Startup Programs are set to hit the ground running in this first quarter of the year with the Global Women startupweekend scheduled to take place at Innovation Growth Hub, Aba, Abia state, from the 9th of February to the 11th of February, 2018.
