HABO GLOBAL, Lagos based sanitary pad production and distribution firm unveiled the winners of the HABO Instagram competition held December 2019. The company announced the winners in Lagos. Duru Ifeoma Olivia, a final year student of Psychology, Imo State University, Owerri was crowned the overall winner, while Nafisat Abdulganiyu , a budding entrepreneur from Ilorin, Kwara State is the first runner-up while the second runner-up was Chikata Kelechukwu, a Theatre Arts undergraduate of University of Nigeria, Nsuka Campus. The online competition was designed to encourage Nigerians to showcase their creativity and upload a minute video via HABO Instagram page. The company also used the venue to officially unveil their mobile app dedicated to ease purchase of the product from anywhere in the country.
Speaking to the media, Ifeanyi Ifeabunike, the spokesman of the company stated “ Habo sanitary pads are one of the best in the market, produced in line with the global best practice. The competition was designed to encourage people to be creative, make Nigerians understand the need to use information technology to access our product via the HABO mobile app and to reward our customers.”
He added “We are giving out various sums of money, from one million, which goes to the winner, Two Hundred Fifty Thousand which goes to the first runner up and second runner up gets One Hundred Thousand with other consolation prizes.”
The overjoyed winners expressed their happiness and told the media what their prize money would be used for. Duru Ifeoma Olivia, the overall winner said “I want to use this medium to thank HABO for this opportunity. I have used their sanitary products and I can attest to the quality. It is one of the best in the market. I feel happy for the prize money, I would plow considerable amount of the money in the business. As the brand ambassador, I am looking at becoming a distributor of the product in Owerri and environs.”
“I knew about the competition when a friend talked about it in Ilorin. It is like a dream , I thank HABO for the exposure they have given us and I would represent the company very well. As a product ambassador, it is my duty to ensure that HABO products become a household name here in Kwara state. I am also using this medium to say a very big thank you to HABO,” Nafisat Abdulganiyu , the first runner up.
