Faith Cathedral International Ministry Egbeda, Lagos, Holds Annual Thanksgiving

Faith Cathedral International Ministry, a worship centre that is in tune with the Christ teaching would celebrate it’s Thanksgiving Sunday on 10th of December 2017 at the church premises in Egbeda Lagos.

In the words of Rev. Fred Obetoh, the General Oversea of Faith Cathedral International Ministry ,

“Come, join us on 10th December, 2017 FCIM as we Walk In Greatness, into 2018, Thanking God for what He has done and what He is going to do for us come 2018. A man that is not grateful cannot be thankful”, he remarked.

Thanksgiving is a serious celebration in the Christian world, a period that the Christians come to the Lord to appreciate his work throughout the year. Though, in some other Christian countries , Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in Canada, the United States, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia.

In Nigeria, churches set aside a particular Sunday for this celebration. This in tune with the biblical injunction ;  Isaiah 12:4-5. And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth”.

Mrs.Stepon Ebele Nwosu , a worshiper in the church added that ” the annual Thanksgiving is a way to appreciate God for his goodness thought the year, and we in the FCIM set aside a particular Sunday to specially thank God for his goodness and mercy. Though, we do appreciate God daily in our lives and in the church but December 10th is a special day that we have set aside”, she added.
