DON PEDRO AGANBI BECOMES NDLEA AMBASSADOR

Don Pedro Aganbi, Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Lagos state Chapter has been unveiled as an ambassador by the National Law and Drug Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony at the Lagos headquarters of the NDLEA, Aderemi Oyajoju Assistance Director, Research and NGO said that Don Pedro Aganbi was chosen because of his track record of innovations, Integrity and passion for the youth segment of the society. “After conscientious deliberations and considerations of his outstanding leadership qualities and positive impact on youths, Nollywood and the society at large, we are very proud to unveil this distinguish son of Nigeria as our Ambassador. We believe his capacity and trust he will use the platform to promote our campaign against drug abuse and all forms of addiction especially among our youth. He said.

In his response, an elated Don Pedro Aganbi, a United Nations Award Winning Journalist, Producer and Actor, thanked the NDLEA for the privilege to serve as an ambassador. “It’s a huge privilege for me to serve as an ambassador of this great DRUG busting agency. One thing I can assure this reputable Agency is that the campaign against drug abuse and addiction in our society just got a new momentum. I promise to use everything within my reach to mobilise and assist the National Law and Drug Enforcement Agency, NDLEA in sensitizing our society especially the youths against the evil of illicit drug use and abuse which has reached an alarming crescendo. Aganbi noted

In his remarks, Wilson Ighodalo, President, The Drug Salvation Foundation and National Coordinator, NDLEA celebrity Drug Free Club said that the issue of drug abuse in our society is worrisome and believes that the appointment of Don Pedro Aganbi as an ambassador would add more impetus to the awareness campaign. “We know you have a massive followership among the youths who look up to as a role model. This is an opportunity to reach out to them as we join our hands with the NDLEA in achieving their mission of riding our country of drug abuse” He posited.

Also unveiled as an NDLEA Ambassador is kid music sensation, Ozzy Bosco.
