CITO of Nigeria Urged Stakeholders to Match Words with Actions



The Chief Information Technology Officer of Nigeria (CITO), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FNCS, FBCS, FIIM has urged IT Stakeholders to match words with actions, stressing that developing Nigeria’s IT sector is a collective effort that requires total commitment from every active player in the field.

The CITO who is also the Chief Host of the 14th Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) International Conference made this call during his presentation at the tech gathering holding at International Conference Centre, Gombe, Gombe State.

Dr Pantami maintained that the richest people in the world today are those that have invested in the field of ICT, calling on the gathering to come up with special mentorship programmes that can aid Nigerian digital natives to develop technological solutions that can solve problems facing the society.

Pantami said that, “many Nations are advancing digitally in the world, Nigeria also has an advantage of a youthful population who are Digital Natives and addicted to ICT”.
