Take this to the bank any given day, social media would change the way we see things and our perception would be altered. Politicians have used this tool to sway the voters, electorate and dish out great news. Trump tweets, we all know him as a Twitter president but here in Nigeria, the Buhari has a team of dedicated folks that dish out information on social media which is called today “The New Media” , and this media has come to displace the conventional media.

Just few days ago, the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo took a walk or do we say visited the media centre that churns out information of this administration. Far away from the conventional media houses like the newspaper and TV, who reads that again? Who watches that again? We have the YouTube, the Instagram video and the Facebook videos , so why waste your time on some crappy newspapers? This Buhari understands very well and bunch of youths keeps changing our narratives, perception and conversation in this political erratic era. A smart move we would say.

In the words of the Vice President, “What a day!Today, I had the privilege of visiting the Buhari New Media Centre. Thank you to all the men and women who volunteer time and effort. Thank you all so much…The Drive Campaign Rally was also phenomenal. ”

The impact of social media can’t be under estimated, the need to be in the know and I’m the face of electorates have become so imperative that APC has deem it imperative to recruit young , smart and intelligent Nigerians to power this facility.
