Education in Nigeria has been said to be all theory but few practical. It is on this premise that Babcock University Collaborated with Chi Tola’s Non Governmental organization (NGO) The Mushroom Development Association for a “hands on” experience on mushroom farming.
The training brought to bare the latest practice in mushroom farming and how to maximize profit. In the words of Chi Tolani , she said “The success of today’s training for mushroom growers in Nigeria. Mushroom Development Foundation Nigeria which is in partnership with Babcock University is refreshing and considering the cost which was subsidised by the facilitators. It has been a success “
She also added that “Government should partner with these institutions in the agriculture campaigns , which is one of the vehicles that would be used to diversify the economy .”
The association and Babcock University has entered a strategic agreement that would ensure that students and general public understand and partake in the mushroom farming techniques.
