It isn’t working and it won’t work. Nigeria got no chills for gays. The Lagos State Government today Thursday, August 3, 2017 arraigned 28 adults before the Yaba Magistrate Court for engaging in homosexuality. This is a red flag for the LGTB community and they must understand that the country isn’t a conducive environment to ply their acts .
Nigeria has come under international criticisms over her cold shoulders to the gay community. The over religious country that is more of Christian South and Muslim North with some sprinklings of traditionalists frowns at this trend. Though ,some gays have come out to declare their status via social media and these statement has gotten them reprimanded. Nigeria as a country fell out during the administration of Jonathan over this like other African countries . The west threatened an international embargo on the country following her stand on gayishness. The country remained resolute never to allow the practice of such an “obnoxious” act . Tagging it as a cultural and natural deviation from the norm.
As these gays are arraigned in court, the verdict we all await. Will it straighten them? Time will tell.
